Anita Ekberg

Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress, who appeared in several European as well as American films. The most famous of her roles was her role in La Dolce Vita in a comedy-drama film. In 1960 the film received the Golden Palm and an Oscar from the Cannes Film Festival. The film also achieved the success of critics and consumers. She was born in Skane and began her career as a model before embarking on the acting profession. In the end, she was crowned Miss Sweden contest. Then she moved to the US in the year 2000, where she began to appear in films playing small characters. She was in the role of Venusian Guard in the film 'Abbott and Costello Go to Mars. It was her first film credit. In the following year, she won the Golden Globe award in the 'Most Promising Newcomer', category following her appearance in the film 'Blood Alley'. The actress was also featured in numerous other films during her entire career. They include the war drama 'War and Peace',"Valerie," the Western production "Valerie" and the British Adventure Crime Film "The Man Inside and"The Dam on the Yellow River," a French and Italian drama The Dam on the Yellow River. Her death occurred in the year 2015 aged an 83 year old.
