Lori Greiner

Lori Greiner was born Lori Husman. She is an American journalist and television host who appears as a Shark on the ABC reality-based business show Shark Tank. While in college she was interested in designing and selling jewelry that was custom made. When the idea of a plastic organizer came to her, she exhibited it to women in the streets to see their reaction. She patented her product, and later began to market it on the internet and off. Her business continued to expand with new merchandise. So far, she has created and promoted over 1,000 successful product lines and is the holder of 120 US as well as International patents. Her sharp business instincts allow her to know in an instant whether products have the potential to be "a heroes" in the sense that it could be. In the end, the majority of her products that sold by her are successful. An avid believer in "if you're lucky enough to have a chance at success there is a need to give back", she also makes annually donations to a wide assortment of charitable causes.
