Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish, half-English woman was born on April 16th, 1997 in Miami Florida. She is half English half Spanish. Her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. The daughter is an Argentinean of Scottish, English and Argentinean heritage. Her mother comes from Spanish and English ancestry. The four siblings of Taylor-Joy are from her father's former marriage. The family was originally of Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria as Taylor-Joy reached the age of six. Taylor-Joy says that moving to London was traumatizing and that she was unable to learn English to avoid moving back to Argentina. Hill House became her school preference after she was required to switch schools. In the following year, she joined Queen's Gate School to study dance and perform in productions of the school. In her 16th year she left the school to pursue a profession as an actress full time. From a young age Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to work as an actress. her dreams came true after she was offered the opportunity to model Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
